Welcome
In my small rural highschool, a Chinese Lanaguage and & Cultural Studies professor came to talk to us. She offered to teach children Mandarin after-school every Monday through a zoom call in the local private school's basement (most of us did not have internet). Every month, she would come to our town and have a cultural lesson alongside. We played Mahjong, tried mooncakes, and learned about Chinese stories.
After one semester, the private school discontinued allowing the club to take place in it; it was not appreciative of the fact more public school kids were in the club.
When the Tiktok refugees moved to Rednote, I figured it would be a good time to try learning again.
